Sawdust and I have a date with this tree . Top is gone and from the elbow up is all hollowed and decayed. The tree is sort of land locked so it is gonna be tight. This tree is bigger than it looks in this picture , but we'll get better ones . One of the best part of being an independent contractor, you get together with all the real people to take care of a problem. When you don't want em' you get em' !

No Mas . The decay looked worse than it actually was . The tree was priced by two companies to use a 200t crane , but you had to use the neighbors property and they said " no way " . Thats where I came in , power day with Rob and that pig is at the curb. Yes , big bad trees can still be done with out a crane, but don't tell every one . Six yards of dirt , $150.00 , 200ton crane $$$$$$$ ! Gotta love the math .

here is the part of the tree that was it's downfall. This was right at the elbow at about sixty feet.

It's a 23 ton Terex . We took the bottom five logs at 9 .6 feet , The log was pretty solid up to that bad spot . It was a wood party on the second day. Sawdust has some pictures but "glens" not "Glenn" busted his stones last time he pasted pictures , so he took a few days off from work to resize them so they load easily .
on a side note , after all the stress that goes with a job like this , the Oriental housekeeper calls the next day and says we put a finger nail size paint chip on the hood of her car. She got home and noticed it and it had to be us . Everybody is looking for a free ride , that is the Main Line of Philly . Middle fingers and pick pockets .

"he took a few days off from work to resize them"

I'm sorry about that. The method I use is painless and quite productive. Only takes about 30 seconds to process 480 pictures, as of just the other day.

Sounds like he needs the right tool for the job. http://imagemagick.org/

It's free both as in "free beer" and "free speech". Of course, you might have to spend about an hour learning how to use it first, but that investment of time will quickly be recovered and in no time you'll be way ahead of the game.

Is that Roach posting , just get your pc back ? It was a mad deposit . Seven Loads of wood came off that job. BigJon if you did that job any faster you be on your way to Home Depot.

I get it that's pretty good. I'd be buying some fence and shopping in garden section.

It just doesnt look all that big. Access and a place to put it is key.

Next time try what I did to this house on the main line for Murphy. I put all of that on the house. All in just a couple hours after work, think I walked away with about $500 cash.

Murphy can be quite generous with the cash, I also took down an oak next door and elevated a few limbs off another oak over that same house.

I couldn't understand that deal and didn't ask any questions. They just told me not to break the floor joists.
