Watching the Footlock races at the TCI expo was fun . So many of the climbers made it look so hard . Bob Weber taught me , so I don't think I ever had it that rough . What is frustrating to see is when someone takes a bite with their feet then they start pulling themselves up hand over hand . Footlock , stand up . Slide your hands up , repeat .
The sign at the races said this is not the place to learn , but I think that half of those guys could have walked away better footlockers if it was the place to learn . Just my opinion .

I agree with you on that one. I have been "footlocking" for a while now, but only a month or two ago, on this site did i learn that you aren't supposed to put your weight into your harness with each "step"!!! if only someone had told me sooner....that made all the difference. i guess the most important thing is to try, try, and try until you're good at it. it doesn't really matter if your form is all wrong if you're the fastest! remember larry birds shooting form...horrible, yet to this day, he remains one of the best 3-point shooters in NFL history!

ps- the NFL thing was just to see if you're paying attention.

Packers......

Tom- Funny you should mention the Packers and Vikings. Today we removed a scraggly Norway Maple for a gentleman who used to play for the Packers during Lombardi's first year as coach, then he was traded to the Vikings. This guy said Lombardi was....not a gentlemen, to say the least. But then again, maybe Lombardi didn't like him and that's why he got traded!

..........anyway.........
