this was part of todays pruning job. an old oak tree.

taking pics up in the tree always give a cool effect i think.

you can see on the top right hand side that we pruned a little harder. this limb had a long crack running up the lenght.

i like to call it the rope runner. this one is made from samson verlocity, the two splices are put in the pulley ( so the rope is double ) and then with long stichtes wipped together, this is to stop it speading and getting stuck when de- instauling. the prussik is a standard 8mm double braid.

whats nice about the velocity double braid splice's in the pulley, is that the pulley gets bumped through the ring and does'nt get stuck as easy as on the rope guide.

the pulley is from ART, and i think you should be able to get one at Sherrill supply's. Infact i think they sell a simular friction saver complete.
