Protective chainsaw shoes

I'm in need of a new pair of chainsaw shoes (or two). In a thread about barefoot shoes and recreational climbing @islandarb said about non barefoot work shoes "folks a trying the wrong boots if there feet a hurting". So that made me wonder what shoes could be a good option for me.

Outside work I wear barefoot shoes. I have been for 15 years now. Regular shoes hurt my feet. But working with a chainsaw and wear barefoot shoes is not an option ;)

I now have the Meindl Airstream. There OKish, but they don't give enough space to my toes. My pinky toe is pressed inwards. I have quite wide and high volume feet. (High volume means that the area on top of my feet, between toes and ankle, is quite high.)
Chainsaw boots (shoes) will never be as comfortable as barefoot, but I'm curious what improvements could be realized with an other brand/type of shoe.

Wich shoes do you guys think are interesting to try on? @islandarb I'm curious about your suggestions, seeing the collection of shoes you have :D.

Was going to mention this brand. I have worn the xr200 haix for several years since my employer buys them. Toe box is nice and roomy. My only complaint is it takes me about a full month the break them in. My left foot hurt until the leather becomes supple.

I was able to grab several pairs of the Andrew Cervin boots from the treebay section here. Swapped the insoles and now wear those daily. Most comfortable boots I've ever had but I do not have large/wide feet.

That was not the case for me with the AirPower- they fit great right off the bat. And they are quite durable. Fairly heavy and stiffer than other boot types, of course.

My Haix protectors feel like an extension of my foot/leg, I think they’re great boots. Curious to try the Arbpro Evo 2 with the saw pro.

I found the Airpower XR200 to be incredibly comfortable, by also not at all durable. Great for climbing, but they just don't hold up on the ground. Since I'm a one man show I do all the groundwork too and a pair of Airpower wouldn't even last a year. Switched to the Protector Ultras and never looked back. I can usually get close to two years out of a pair and I am incredibly hard on footwear

I have the Scafel Lite. They're comfortable but there's nothing lite about them. They're heavy as hell. I have a size 10.5-11 in great shape on a treebay post. I personally like nonchainsaw. If I had to pick a big food I'd go with Scarpa Fuego's. they're fantastic and durable.
