price qoutes on 2019 vermeer s925tx with lg46 grapple

today i got quoted $32K for the machine and $3.8k for the grapple. Does anyone have a clue about wiggle room Vermeer has with the pricing. I'm in upstate NY willing to travel a bit for the right price. trying to figure out what is a good deal and what isn't. I'm new to the market. Thanks

im also getting a price on a SK1050 tomorrow. i think i will be very happy with either machine, so i think i will just go with who ever will give me the best price and service. if anyone has anything to say good or bad let it rip.

I’ve only run a Ditch Witch a couple times, but I was happy with it. I like the Vermeer machines, the controls are nice, but we broke one of the loader arms on one once, and we’ve had a number of electrical/electronic problems.

what model did you have ? with the amount of money im about to spend i would like to get all the info i can get. thanks

The machine we broke the arm on was a 725. It’s a rental, so I’m sure it was abused. The new CTX100 seems to have fixed that problem though, the older models had no support for the arms below the cylinders while the CTX100 has supports just above the bucket, so digging force is not applied only to the arms like the older versions.

The electronic problems have mostly been switch related, the latest was on a CTX100 where the switch under the foot plate was fluky. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. When it didn’t, a couple jumping jacks would disengage the parking brake and it would work fine a while. My crew found it very entertaining to watch me jumping up and down all day.

I have a CTX100 and I love it. Had an SK850(1050) before that. It is a stronger machine than the 1050. They came off the price about $500 putting it just shy of $40k after tax. Lol. For $32k, your gonna get better performance out of that 1050 though. 925 is nice but it doesn't have the ass or lift capacity that a 1050 has.

thanks guys. i think im going to go with the sk1050. sadly i think i like dealing with the vermeer dealer better but just looking at the mechines and what i hear i think the sk1050 is built tougher than the s925tx. after sales tax and grapple im looking at $40,260 something. ouch!!!!! im a new company only 5th summer in and winter comes quick around here. this is the qoute they gave me if anyone has advice on talking down the sales person i would love to here it. being only 25 ive never bought something from a big shot dealer. Thanks again

Why a 52" wide 1/3 capacity bucket? Is that the right size for your needs?

Consider if BMG scoops or rake will be worth getting up front.

I have a 1/3 yard 42" bucket. Won't fit through a gate, but will go over a 6' gate, I think, barely.

If I didn't love having an expandable undercarriage on my Boxer, allowing me through gates and the tight spots that are common here, I'd be aiming for the machine you bought.

That machine should be around $33k. I would NOT get the single lever joystick if I'm reading that invoice right. I think that they cost extra and trust me you will be more pleased with a dual lever. I have a Vermeer CTX100 with a joystick and I love the machine but I miss the dual lever on my SK850. Dont let that salesman upsell you. I'd also shop around a little for attachments. I've never seen someone buy attachments in a package with their new machine and come out on top. Those salesmen DO NOT cut you a break just because you bought a new machine. You usually wind up paying top dollar. I noticed that he didnt itemize the price of that bucket. 1050 should be around $33-$34k at the most. You are paying at least $1000 dollars minimum for that bucket. No sir. You can get a good 52 in. bucket for $500-$600 on the high end.

Just spoke to the South Jersey Vermeer dealer last week (looking for prices for a start-up business), and he quoted me $30K for the S925tx, with 0% financing for the first 24 months. Gotta place the order before the end of June for that.
