Preferred method of Canopy Anchor

We have that stuff on a couple of our pruners mike, and it is not supple at all. I have used the generic accessory cord in 9 mm that treestuff sells and it works well but is very stretchy if there is a lot of friction to pull against.
 
I've not used any tagline in that setup, if I did, it would be another climb line on a work tree, I always have a fear of nicking the main climb line and not having a backup available to me in the tree to complete the job.
A damaged line can have the damage isolated from the system by going a knot on a bight, like an alpine butterfly, with the damage in the bight.
 
New to srt so just started learning alpine butterfly (easy) - though now will go to farmers loop (also easy) - though less chance of jamming under heavier loads.

Other options would work - though use more rope, take longer to tie, ect. ;)
