Practical planting tips for Landscapers

Around here the foreign material (burlap, wire) that is said to degrade over time doesn’t. Too dry. Found it on Austrian pines installed 20 years ago. Some of ‘em girdled and getting Ips beetle, others have so many girdled roots they’ve toppled in wind/snow. IMO there is no reason to leave it on. It boils down to training your staff, if they’re taught to pull the crap off at install it becomes quick and profitable. Like safety practices, the right way can be the most efficient if taught and consistently practiced.
