Post Expo rec climb?!

keep me posted Andrew, I would love to do a climb on friday. I'll bring two rope wrenches. How far from the expo?

Proposed location is Manchester, very close to Hartford, checking with folks today to confirm we can do it.

Ok, I've got confirmation on one location and waiting to hear on the other by this Friday. I'll decide which one on Friday and post the address and other details.

They're both excellent locations on private property in Manchester just minutes from Hartford.

Climb date is Friday 11/4, climb starts 1:00 PM, goes til whenever.

Ok, we have a site for the TCIA rec climb on Friday, November 4., 1:00-4:00pm.

I'll PM the address to everyone in the thread, also PM me if you're not in the thread and I'll send it to you. I encourage you to let other climbers at TCIA know and give them the address as well.

Site has sufficient room for parking, a selection of hardwoods: oaks, black walnut, maples etc. nothing huge but enough to hang out in and demo technique. There are picnic tables, barbecue, and there's a barn if we need to bring it indoors if weather doesn't cooperate.

I'm hoping there will be some Rope Wrench's showing up, I'd really like to see them in action and try one out!

11/4 TCIA climb cancelled due to storm

We have to cancel the 11/4 TCIA climb, the property was hit hard by the Friday storm, trees down, no electricity etc.

Unless someone can come up with a new location in the Hartford area.

They were a bit overloaded with things going on, and that was before the storm. I'll check back with them Tuesday to see if there's a possibility.

Any possability of turning it into a pro bono work climb.. maybe buy a few zubats for the participants????

It will be interesting to see if people are too busy to make the expo, or come with fat pockets and clean out the vendors..
