pole climbing comp spikes

i decided after watching some pole climbing yesterday that i'd like to give it a go. I did get to speak to a climber whilst at the show reagrding the spikes they were using. can anyone point me in the right direction regarding the spikes? looking for different ideas of designs, materials used, differeing placements etc? i realize that it is something that i'll need to work out for myself, specially regarding spike placement, but some ideas to start off with would be great!

cheers steve

Steve, you still looking for something you might be good at??

he,he. Good to see you at the show, I know I said I'd ease off a bit but you know how it is! Anyway I've got loads of pics of comp spikes if you want them?

Thanks MB. Are those yours? Custom model for sure. I was guessing they wanted full range on the calf muscle. I'm sending a pair of old spurs to monster shop for upgrade.

And thank you for that tidbid of info!

Steve, Are you sure about this?-Personally I'm not interested in any sport that involves screwing into studholes.

Hmmm, let me think of a typical rupes type comment here.....

Best not! The shoes are shimano spd montain bike shoes. The one sthta clip into the pedals. Remove the cleats on the sole and screw the plate in its place.
