Poison ivy, and similar plants, are a recognized hazard in the workplace by OSHA and ANSI.

It just says that <u>instruction</u> must be provided. Although generally, OSHA requires employers need to provide a safe workplace, I'm not sure how it applies to this situation. If you want to push the issue, I'd contact Fed OSHA or state OSHA (if applicable). But beware, they'll probably drop in again in the future.
