I think this is a predominantly Canadian thing, but there might be regional takes on it everywhere. The goal is to bring awareness to bullying in schools and promote kindness and inclusion. For those who don't know where or why it began:
The original event was organized in 2007 by twelfth-grade students David Shepherd and Travis Price of Berwick, Nova Scotia, who bought and distributed 50 pink shirts after a ninth-grade student Chuck McNeill was bullied for wearing a pink polo shirt during the first day of school at Central Kings Rural High School in Cambridge, Nova Scotia.
It's sheer coincidence that my company colours are pink, but I fully support the message and hope it spreads.
