Pine as firewood: a do or a don't?

*sigh*

Are we doing this again? You made excuses before when I called you out for spamming your youtube channel a while back, people agreed with me and said you were doing it on other forums as well. Then when you did it again, I didn't say anything and your post got zero replies. Cool. Now you are back, doing it yet again. I just looked at your profile history, and unsurprisingly, your only interaction with this forum is just as I predicted, only related to your own threads posting your own videos. So yes, you aren't here to be part of the forum community, you are only here to 'share' your videos and try and increase your view-count. I have no problem being blunt about this and playing 'gatekeeper', because I'm just not a fan of this kind of behavior. If people like your videos they can watch and reply, if they don't, they can avoid the treads, or for those who want to make a point, click through to youtube, watch for less than 30-seconds so the algorithm doesn't register it as a view and click 'thumbs down'. I'll be the rico of youtube spammers on the forum, the one here who calls it as it is.

Most people don't object. Some find it useful or entertaining. How do you know what audience retention I get? Gatekeeper? Some people feel that they are responsible for regulating other people. Not every post gets replied to. Some have been replied to. Why does it bother you so much? What ever happened to live and let live?

Thank you!

Most of us object, we are just silent about it in the hopes you will just go away.

As arborists most of us have a very good understanding of firewood, what to do with it, and how to avoid ever touching it. Thank God for large chippers so we can just turn most of it into mulch...

Your content seems a bit out of place on this forum but maybe there could be a way to discretely insert stuff here that could be less of an eye poke and more like you are trying to integrate yourself into a community of like minded folks who go out of their way to help others learn. We are not so into folks going out of their way to promote themselves and their YouTube channels without connecting with the forum and the conversations here on a deeper level. Or my personal favorite users of Treebuzz? The folks who read old posts, they soak up knowledge like sponges, they are here lurking for years, they learn, grow, and they periodically contribute but often don't say anything. They are the forest growing off all this detritus of ideas that is Treebuzz.

So ask yourself. Am I feeding the forest? Or feeding off of it?
