Mine is going up Saturday . Sad to say I took twice as many trees down in a year as there are days . I have some good photos though . Pruning pics are cool(yawn) , I love old trees (hmm) . Sometimes they see the tarped floor and know what is next . My pic will be Saturday . Bring it ! Don't get mad , Plant !

Translation: Don't post pictures of pruning or old historic trees because Riggs doesn't like them.

Carry on. *YAWN*

Doesn't really matter does it Tom ?

Good pruning pics are hard to take. Often is the case that what means a lot to the people who were involved looks and means very little to those that weren't. Nobodies fault, its often just harder to appreciate the magnitude or drama of that moment.

People standing next to some old tree. Cool, and they have their place....but I think at the quite reasonable request of the original poster, this remain a tree 'work' thread.

Glen's been posting this same thread for years. No need to start a fight already.

I got some better pics this year than last. I will put a bunch up as I cant narrow it down to one favorite. Might even throw a pruning pic in there, later.

Agreed, we know how he is, let it be.

"twice as many trees down in a year as there are days."

LOL.

Well, I've done 3 times as many this year as there are days and I didn't work much this year.

But seriously, I'm glad you started this one again, I actually forgot about it this year and will start to think about what pictures might be good.

thanks Riggs.

So, I just started looking into 2013 picture folders and I can't believe it, this was still in 2013. Reg absolutely loves me posting about this tree.

this was my first and only Euc removal.

Bixler snapped the picture.

since I was in this folder, I found this and I like this picture. Not too exciting for other viewers....

This is at the top of an old redwood tree at around 275 feet high. Pitch black dark night.

Bixler giving the "gang" sign for Arbor-X wearing a vintage green Arbor-X T. Then we descend in the dark, only with my cell phone light to check biner connections.

this will take me a few minutes to organize and embed everything. Pretty sure I posted these pics already throughout the year.

First is actually pruning....a big grand fir, just short of 150. Two climbers, only needed one but for speed. In and out in a couple of hours. First is me hauling up. Second is Scott weighing up his side....I just though that was a pretty cool image of a climber. Nothing staged might I add.

Next is a couple pics from a dead old growth fir we took out late one summer evening. Its gone 6pm when I started spurring up. First pic is blurry, unfortunately. Have my MCFC shirt on, all the same.

Couple big second growths. Both sorta 8pm finishes. No rec climbs here!

First pic is actually taken from a bucket working on adjacent tree. The sun usually ruins pics, but I dont mind it on this one.

Another tree, similar deal, another pic from the bucket.

Last one (depending), is just a climbing picture really, but a pretty good one. The big fir was instrumental in rigging out the two root fails beside it.

SoftBank, very cool looking tree! Is that a moisture guard over a cavity in the lower left area of the photo?

Pruning is tree work, right?

Anything I say is considered inflammatory by Riggs, so I just get right to it. Standard protocol initiated by him.
