Have you looked at cheap hardware store pulleys? Sailing pulleys would be really trick and spendy too

I wonder if one of Harkin's Hexaratchets would have enough grip to act as a grab and trigger all in one piece.

I have. I looked at everything ACE Hardware has. They have some that are the right size, but they don't have the load rating that's needed. If they have an acceptable load rating, they're too big.

Hence, one reason I measured the pull on a Big Shot, to see what the pulleys would have to hold. Now we know it's around 100 lbs, so the pulleys have to have a 100 lb working load.
