Photos of You and Impressive Trees

Nice of all of you to brag about those big trees. Don't have to may of them, but we have this! Salix Herbacea, known as the worlds smallest tree! Rages at sizes between 1-5 centimeters.

Awesome post! If you can't go big, go ridiculously small!

Tough to measure the CBH (circumference at 4.5') on this one!

On a another note, Michael Taylor and I did a bushwhack in southern Oregon today. Found what should be the tallest known pine tree. A ponderosa at 268 feet

Great! Nice looking ponderosa, big bark plates. Not surprising, the tallest are never the fattest.

Here's a tree that I used to wake up to and look at every day as a kid. Then 2 years ago I had the chance to go "home" and i brought some gear :)

That's a fantastic tree and an interesting story Matthew, I remember the video you posted of that climb.

Thanks Gord - climbing that tree was so fun for me - as a kid I never in a million years thought I would - I look at is more a blessing to have had the opportunity - if that makes sense...

Is that tree also called Schefflera? The leaves look just like a common indoor tropical plant.

Awesome tree. Thanks for posting!

I just viewed this thread for the first time.

Exactly my thoughts as well, leaves look like a common indoor tropical plant, one of the very many I'm taking care of.

Is it the same?
