PHC in the PNW

I’m looking to start dipping my company’s toes into the PHC world In order to give homeowners more options. From the research I’ve done, it seems that many of companies making and selling PHC products are based on the east coast of the US, and have far more resources devoted to east coast conditions. This leaves me wondering if the arborists in the PNW have specific products or dealers that they prefer to work with who are more knowledgable about the insects, fungus, and soil conditions that are present here.

Currently I am planning on starting us out with selling basic soil amendment and root excavation, and potentially spread into pesticide application and other more complicated tasks if we are comfortable with the work.

Any thoughts or advice are welcome. I’m relatively new in the area and don’t know many of the arborists around here, much less what their PHC practices are, if any.

I'm one of those east-coasters myself, but I do mess with folks through the Western Chapter of ISA. Have you tuned in via chapter membership or direct contacts? Seems to me (as an interloper) that there are folks who can help you out.

Korey Lofy works for Arborjet in Colorado and is a willing wealth of knowledge. Not quite the PNW but he does a bit with Idaho folk. Not sure how to contact him besides through FB but also sure you can look him up through google.
