Quick question...

I went with 2 small caritools, any reason to get the larger size? The small are great, wondering what the larger size would work with, just an option to carry more?

I was gonna order 2 more in large but thinking if i order more i'd still get the smaller ones. I've never seen the large in hand, they worth it for different reasons?

If you like caritools, the large are definitely useful. However, I ditched all of mine for three reasons- one broke (small), the gates would pop off, and they all love to clip into branches. I switched to paddle biners and am much happier.

I've seen others using the paddle biners, i'll definitely look into them. The small caritools definitely came in hand for looping my lanyards to stow and loved how easy it was to pop biners or pulleys onto while rearranging TIPs or setting up different systems in the tree. Even hauled a seperate climb line behind me in case i needed it. First climb i DQ'd myself as i lost a micro pulley to the ground :(

I do remember someone stating to double check snapping into the D's if the caritools were positioned close by, i know have that drilled into my mind which is a great as mine are right behind my side D's

You'll find that it's nice having the paddle right behind your d's and the cartoons further behind them for exactly what you're talking about.

What I like about the caritools is the flat back and clip that holds it out from my harness and prevents it from laying flat. But the disadvantages mentioned above are real. Rumor has it that they will be making a metal version of the caritool in the near future. If so, I will be a buyer. Don't know where I heard that rumor.
