Palolo Valley Pines & Rainbow Euc

Some footage removing a few pines in Palolo. Also some footage from a Rainbow eucalyptus (mindinao gum) weight reduction pruning at the Wahiawa Botanical Garden, enjoy.

I'm coming to work with you someday! Bank on it, bro.

One of my favorite rigging scenarios is similar to that, but you'd dead end the rig line below your cut, and the chunk is slung to a swivel block. When it leaves the spar, it comes down in a 'V' of rope between the two stems. Also, the shorter your stem gets, the easier the retrieval is between cuts...groundie just pulls the slack out from his station and the swivel block slides right to you as the line snugs between the 2 stems.

Man, you didn't have any sap on your line after that Pine removal did you? Nice work! I may hide in Eric's suitcase. Oahu has a special place in my heart. I was married on the beach at Ko Olina bay and went back for our first anniversary. We stayed in Kailua both times. Love that place. Next time I would love to do some climbing.

Great touch on the rigging Eric...you schnazzy fella

Word, Ben! Looking forward to May.

T&S, PM on the way sometime this weekend...

Let me know guys we've been really busy the last year so I'm sure there are plenty of opportunities. I wish I hadn't messed up the footage from the day before. There was a large banyan over that house in the first scene with no overhead TIP to get out to. Had to setup a floating TIP from the pine to a tree back in the jungle and then rig all the branches up to the pine. Was pretty cool, but the footage ended up being blurry from all the rain and humidity. Oh well....
