Our crane job, finally done!!!!!

KS,

It's $120/hr. with a 3 hr. min. Time starts from when they leave the shop till they return. I believe that crane is 110' or 120' ft. of main boom. They have two cranes, one slightly bigger than the other, and about to get a new one from what I hear. Both operators are very good, and one is the owner.

Nice job, looks very well managed and professional, a great intro to working with cranes for ranger....good work WoodlandTC

Thanks, Sean and Toparboring. Now if Rangers dad follows up with his call and schedules a date so I can have a work/rec day with his hispanic workers that would be cool. I have alot of ideas, can't wait.

Hey Woodland, can't wait!!! With all this rain though its hard. Their calling for it until next Wenesday or maybe even farther, so maybe a few weeks from now?? (Maybe between Dec 19 and Jan 4, as thats Winter break for me) Have to give you a call soon.

Can I also ask you a question about crane slings. We're thinking of buying some because we have another job we could use the crane on. A couple of long limbs over a house. Tree is good to climb, but its in front of a golf place over turf and with lombs going over the roof, so we would like to use the crane.(I guess after you use one, you just can't stop finding uses for it!!) So, whats the best length and best place to buy. We're looking at I think 12ft ones from Sherrill(The long ones you used) because we figure longer would be better, because we only want 2 for now and don't want to spend the $ on short ones also. Thanks

We have our own slings, which is nice, because you know how they have been used. We also have used slings on occasion from the crane operator.
