Matt, we are located near Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We are extremely confident to send our units everywhere, even far from us because most parts are available locally, and hydraulics are BSP, so every hydraulic service company carry these in their service trucks. I will be happy to talk to you (or anyone) who may have questions regarding our Easy Lift Series of compact tracked spider lifts. I'm also quoting Deevo who is an active member here to talk to everyone about the after sale service he had with us. We are the exclusive distributor for Easy lift brand in North America.
Please call toll free: 844-873-7847 and ask for Alain.
Thank you in advance for your call.

I bought a nifty lift SD 64 after two years of research over 2011 and 2013. I have had the lift now for one year. For me tracks were out of the question. Using tracks means laying out either plywood or mats. Their ground speed is limited to less than half of the Nifty Lift. That increased my time. The benefit of the smaller width on the track machines baffled me for a while. I was hesitant to buy the Nifty Lift (80 inch with). I have found the lift gets me into a lot more places then I would have thought. Sandune's, over septic tanks, over yards with sod All summer long, over patio paving, 2 inch concrete sidewalks, Groundcovers tennis courts etc. etc. I used to own a 2009F 750 with a 65 foot aerial lift. This nifty lift gets me to places I would have never dreamed of taking that bucket truck. We used it here in Michigan last winter and we're driving through 4 feet of snow no problem. No more plowing peoples yards :-). I also wanted a lift that I could be in along with the operator so that I could do some training. That was before I bought rope tec. However the large size of the basket I enjoy. For the record I will also claim this could be an issue with other people/preferences. For the requirements I laid out this lift more than exceeds my expectations. However those were my requirements.

This lift weights 9000 pounds and a trailer hauling this lift will require a CDL in the us. You may be able to build a custom trailer and keep under the 10,000 pound limit.
This lift is not insulated.
Issues
The service for Nifty Lift is not good. My closest dealer is a rental center in Kalamazoo. Their service was horrible.
Employee backed the lift into a brand-new Lexus of my clients. lexis sustained $4000 of damage and the lift mounting bracket underneath the cage bent. $300 replacement part. I thought their parts were very expensive. The first winter was extremely cold and we spent a lot of time tightening hydraulic connections leaking . Now one of the hydraulic hoses underneath has developed a leak due to an extreme bend radius when rotating lift. It does have a lot of electronics over hydraulics and that concerns me but I believe it is a design necessity. So far The only electronics problem was a joystick that was easily fixed by myself with a free Warranty joystick. FYI joystick cost $1000

Summary:
Overall the lift has outperformed the expectations I had of it. It has been a fantastic machine. I see the ground speed, turf tires, high ground clearance and 4 x 4 x4 as a huge advantage over tracked lifts. The versatility of this machine in comparison to track machines far out weighs any issues I've had with it.

Good question. There is a dial to adjust I believe it's hydraulic oil flow. On Maximum setting the joystick will graduate the speed from zero to maximum speed. If you need to go up heavy incline you have to set the dial at full hydraulic oil flow and then really be feather touch with the joystick. So in summary it does not have a low gear. It is little bit tricky to maneuver. But I did manage to get it up to 30° slope. It did need some rope towing assistance. I don't have that much experience with heavy inclines but I would say up to 15 or 20% is easily doable

What's your trailer's deck height and ramp length?

My biggest fear is getting it stuck on a hill it doesn't have the power to climb. Advantage to the tracks usually.

Take height is about 16 to 18 inches ramp length is your standard 3 to 4 foot ramp. It's just a standard double axle landscape trailer 12,000 pound weight limit. The ramps are actually pretty steep but the lift has no problem going up and down. I have never gotten stuck on any slopes. The machine is plenty of power. Each wheel as its own hydraulic motor. It's a very beefy machine.at least from the drivetrain

So at 9000 pounds on tires you leave no marks?
My one tons weigh that that or less with 35"x12.5" tires and we have to be careful at times...depending on moisture/rain and types of soils.

minor derail:
Not all states require CDL for trailers over 10k
There is another post about this in the rubber hits the road section.
Federal and New York only require CDL when combination exceeds 26k AND (not or) the trailer is over 10K

straight from the FMCSA dot
Class A: Any combination of vehicles which has a gross combination weight rating or gross combination weight of 11,794 kilograms or more (26,001 pounds or more) whichever is greater, inclusive of a towed unit(s) with a gross vehicle weight rating or gross vehicle weight of more than 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds) whichever is greater.

Yes of course. Thanks for the clarification. Rules are of course going to vary from state to state. I didn't think of that. As for the Nifty Lift tires they are huge balloon tires. I can't say they don't ever leave marks but I'm dry grass definitely no problem and most other services I mentioned. I have driven over flagstone patio's tennis courts I have driven in swampy lowlands and of course made marks there which didn't matter but the point was lift got through easily leaving just minor Rutts. when the grass is wet in the fall or in the spring time and lift will leave roots I would say maybe an inch deep depending on how wet and the soil conditions. The best way for me to describe it is to say that I am always amazed at how little impact the unit causes and how often it causes no visible impact at all. Here is a pictureimage.webp

There is an independent wheel motor on each tire.... thus there are no differentials and thus no locking/limited slip/open carrier.

It depends on how it is plumbed as to how it will act, but no tire will ever receive more torque than any other. With a locking differential and 4x4, you can sent all the torque to a single tire.

Yes good! Jack. When I drive the unit on the road and make a sharp turn it does make a strange noise and I assume is from the fact that the inside tires and hydraulic motors are turning at the same speed as the outside tires putting strain on the inside tires and hydraulic drives. Dealer said that is normal, I try to keep my tight turns on pavement to a minimum.

Update: we bought a 59-30 from UpEquip over a year ago and we are really diggin this machine. Haven't had any major issues, when we have had some minor stuff, the dealer made it right. They are always available to walk us through stuff over the phone if we aren't sure.

We did a fairly large EAB removal project last fall and the lift made work easy!
