I thought it was the OP. It's the bluish color one in your pic, not the redish one. Do I actually have OD cord? Either one, I know that it's a standard class 1 DB spice. Just wondering about that cover taper, as you were.

Yes you do have the OD cord. It has a 16 strand cover like the OP so I went with the 4,4,5,4 taper for the cover.

Oh yeah, it's Ocean Dyneema all right. I realized that this afternoon the minute that I tried to cut the core.

I use a 5-5-5-5 taper all the way to the end per yale cordage instuctions.

Thanks Joe, weirdest thing, I went to KandR's site and they have the 5/16 OP correct but then have the 3/8 OD listed as OP. I am a little unsure they have the correct mbs rating for 5/16 OP, too. Does teufelberger make an OD 5/16 and 3/8 like the OP? Oh, and how do you like the Ocean dyneema in action as a hitch cord?

I'm not sure if they make it in 5/16. I know they make it n 3/8. I have only found it on knot and rope. As far as hitch cord, I haven't used it enough to say. I can say it is some stiff stuff. I bet it would be good once it get broken in good though.
