Does anyone know what type of zoning a tree care business needs in ontario?

I think ours is Industrial, it might be commercial but we don't sell any products so I don't think so.

Zoning is municipally regulated. Check with your local municipality.

They want the info for taxation purposes, but alos so they can plan emergency services, transporation service etc.

Not that a single wee little tree co. will provide cause for a new firehall, but the impact on the statistical information used to make these decision will be used.

Some people just park their trucks in their driveway with no real concern for zoning issues, 'cept when the neighbours call and complain about employees cars parked on the road............

As Mangoes pointed out it is determined by the municipality.

It is usually an industrial zoning that allows outdoor storage. If you are selling anything such as firewood or mulch on site then you need to be sure it is an allowable use. If you're planning on working out of your home just make sure the zoning allows parking of commercial vehicles.

While you may be able to fly under the radar, be aware that you could be shut down and forced to move if you're non-compliant.
