Chances are good that if some arborists volunteer to help out with this tree, they will probably be ISA certified or from a TCIA accredited biz. But it certainly wouldn't hurt to make it an organized event using our local ISA Chapter website and connections... publicity or not.

Not a DOT cop and not an accusation. I have been fined by DOT cops though for not having my stakes above the mid point of the highest log, thats the federal requirement. That's why I made the observation and I did make an assumption, I apologize for that.

Do you know where this info can be found, I know a guy I would like to give a copy of this to.
 
I looked it up after being fined for an unsecure load at a truck check. The laws in Pa. are more stringent than the federal DOT requirements. The Pa law says that the stakes have to be above the level of the logs, not just taller than the midpoint of the highest log. I found both laws online but I don't remember exactly, I'm sure I just googled it.
