This is me most days especially of the last half dozen years since eab hit either climbing or bucket. But this one was a S. gum. Had both 150 and ms200 in bucket as I like it that way currently.

14 degrees right now and last tree on a 5 day job at the convent of the Sisters of the Poor today over a busy road. Do all the tree work and do all the plowing and snow removal on all roadways and walks etc too.

This TD took about 30 mins total with additl. about 10 mins cutting on bottom before first vid and dropping the stick myself, anchored to the mini which was chocked and highly tensioned after notch was removed after second vid (both vids totaled about 20 mins).

No need for a gm (my biz been just me and gm for 45 years) or any rigging and gm was off chipping and stump grinding elsewhere at same time in my just 2 man op.

most of the time I have a heavy snap in place of the R bowline and it speeds up the process, esp the untying, but loses some adjustability. That is a 9/16 double braid lanyard capable of just guessing, around 15k including shock load. I also carry a 3/4 double braid and sometimes fold over leaders into the sling. Yeah I get lonely up there all the time lol. Thanks.

Nice bucket footage Dave. I worked with BOTS last week, that little 150 ya'll use tears it up. Did you open up the muffler a little too? Crank it like a chainsaw!

Really nice maneuvering with the bucket. That 150 SCREAMS! Can you link a thread as to how one goes about getting one Snellorized? That last piece you tied off... were you out of reach on your boom?

Do you really make a rats nest like that day to day?? Paying an extra guy or two would make up for not having to deal with that twisted mess down below...

When I hang a piece it is either out of reach to pick apart or just easier to hang it timewise.

Let me ask Brad if I can pm you his email John.

Edit...Pm'ed you

You can note from the pict that the tree was not very brush heavy in the top. I stripped the bottom and let him clear brush prior to burying the bottom stuff. Then he came in and cleared brush from the top and then I Dingoed the lumber into the dump trailer, which wasn't much as my chipper can take up to 20" dia stuff...then dropped the stick, dingoed it, then he came in with the STX 38 mini Dingo stumper and it was done in about 10 mins (bigger stumps I do with a 65hp tow behind unit). Sometimes I will hit the pile with the dingo prior to him pulling off the brush to aid and speed it up if nec.. Also most or all brush like Bixey said, will be butts heading towards the chipper and I can keep logs off of it while dropping them usually.

On a big and/or thick tree I will strip one side while he clears the other side and then vice versa. No rats nests pal, I been doing this for 45 years now...don't need extra guys like you less experienced guys do. But then I never have. That was a $1300. removal, I outbid another company on that and on other work and I did that td almost entirely by myself in a couple of hours start to finish including moving equipment and cleaning up all including the stump grindings.

I can always find or develop one outstanding gm...usually will go thru half a dozen before I get him. I cannot suffer morons, slackers, rake leaners, clock watchers, cell phone hiders, ass scratchers, winers, ...like you probably do. But then again you probably don't know the difference.

The equipment I have and the location and sequence of setting and choreographing the job and equipment, make it much easier than you could imagine a 2 man op to be (and much more profitable too). I know I could still handle whatever he does at my age all day and all week and I will be 66 in a couple of weeks.
