Northeast snow storm.

Best regards to you guys in the northeatern states U.S side. Hope the cleanup goes well and power is restored. Always uncomfortable for the elderly and physically challenged, I pray that they get the help they need as it said on TV that 2 million people still without power. I spent 13 winters in my native Canada in my teens and twenties, can't say I miss it but there are times when down here is just too hot. Just like our tropical storms can help my business, I guess these snow storms keep you guys busy, just remember always be fair when quoting for jobs as I am sure lots of people are having it hard with the worldwide recession. Stay safe and beware of downed live wires. Paul.

I was in the Catskills for the storm. We got like a foot but the trees seemed to fair well. On the other hand arrived in Jersey this morning and they got smashed. It was very difficult to got get around with no traffic lights and streets closed. Trees took this one hard. I'll be busy for a week cleaning up. Then seems a lot of tall trees got topped.

NO doubt Guy,
This is definitely a good storm for doing preservation work.. Very few trees totalled IMO.. some can be if the customer was already thinking of having the tree removed..

The sweet gums took it hard, as they were already heavy with balls, and in full leaf.. Even if their structure is badly damaged, I think they'll come back nicely in some years.. A few of the big red and even some white oaks lost big limbs.. many still have BIG cracked hangers..

The new 75' bucket is just about perfect for cutting hangers and restoration work.

We did 11 different jobs today.. And this is probably just the tip of the iceberg.. It'll be a few weeks at least and we didn't even get that much snow..

Why not just say you did 12? No one is fact checking around here.

Happppppppppppy B (who's counting. It's twelve P's BTW) Stevie.

We had ONE job today. And a hell of a job it was.

Tomorrow I start day 6 at the same site I've been at all week.....and it still looks like we haven't done anything. Well be pruning broken oak tops all damn winter....

I have one more day cleaning up on the ground then it's go for the widowmakers then the broken tops. And in between I have to rake up everyone's leaves. This is the biggest mess I've ever seen.

Its always interesting how storms hit different areas. I guess nashua NH got hit pretty good. The NH seacoast really didn't get it as bad as other areas.
