Any pic??For releasing the beak I'd try something like what 4srt offers. I made a homemade version from plastic and it works great. It also does not interfere with how the runner was designed to operate/ tend slack.

So looks like I better find some extra springs and a replacement pulley with bearings. Here's a thread on the differences. Post #14 explains the differences in production models.
Who wants to talk about the differences in these Rope Runners with me? And some awesome hard to find goodies!
I picked up this other Rope Runner hardly used from our friend @oldfart at a killer deal, thanks again! I've noticed right away several key differences from the one I bought several months ago. Blue Orange Roller bearing pulley? Shallow groove Bushing pulley? Deep groove painted blue...www.treebuzz.com
Not on me at the moment, but basically it looks just like the commercially available one. I had some thin plastic stock and heated it to bend the corners.Any pic??
So you would have to remove your home made device or the 4srt version every time to get the rope in and out of the runner?Any pic??
Were the gold ones only produced by CMI and exclusively for Treestuff?Oh. Thought you had time on it. That goldie is the first run CMI did. Those were first gen production. Circa Nov 2014 maybe early 2015 Old memory I got. That is a bit of history.....it looks brand new.....enjoy.

I never understand why folk take it apart.....so easy to thread. You would if you midline attach. I just feed the rope through the runner.
Ever have to replace the spring or other parts beside the pulley on you for go one?Oh BTW I own 2 gold ones One for show, one for go. Second one has never been used. Its my favorite. Unfortunately I wasn't in the club when the dirty 30 came out. I use a bump and a bearing pulley with the go model
Thanks buddy!Seeing as its that nice I guess I could give you 3/4 of what you payed for it?
Seriously though, enjoy the Runner. Its freakin amazing.
Just looking out for you bro. Love to hear your thoughts on your new Runner once you settle in with it. I'm still in the honeymoon stage with mine, but its blownin' my mind every time I thread a rope through it.Thanks buddy!
I'm really touched by you offering 3/4 for it as opposed to your standard rate of 50%.
Means allot to me.![]()
Can't wait to try it myself.Just looking out for you bro. Love to hear your thoughts on your new Runner once you settle in with it. I'm still in the honeymoon stage with mine, but its blownin' my mind every time I thread a rope through it.
