Here is the info for the best event in the area:

Here is the announcement you've all been waiting for - the 2009 NJAISA Work Day will be held on Saturday December 5, 2009 at Branch Brook Park in Newark, Essex County, NJ. Our committee, led by Scott Tapp of Bartlett Tree Experts, met recently with directors of the Branch Brook Park Alliance (http://www.branchbrookpark.org/) to finalize the event. Please mark your calendars and plan on attending. Counting this Saturday, it is only 5 weeks until Work Day. The park offers plenty of work for everyone:
Large tree pruning
Ornamental pruning
Large and medium size tree removals
Root collar excavations
Stump grinding (lots of pre-existing stumps throughout)
We can use as many bucket trucks, cranes, log trucks, climbing crews, air-spades, fertilization rigs, stump grinders, and bodies as we can get. Please RSVP your attendance (men and equipment) as soon as possible so that we may make arrangements for another successful Work Day event:

It makes sense that they wouldn't HAVE to do work in the south then. If all the good climbers are down there then good work is being done, thus not necessary for charity work!

Think things through before you talk next time

Cutten, you can team up with myself and human crane if you'd like. One thing I realized last year is to bring your own fricken ground crew or else!

Probably going to work with the Beester unless mark begs us to work with him again

one thing I will definately own before then, a nice wagon to cart around all of my gear. Hauling my pack a mile was less than awesome.
