When I tried the attachment, I got:

Treebuzz has been doing that lately.

I tracked it down, looks nice! It looks easy to personalize, comfy and rugged. Plus, it's all black. If I hadn't just bought a treemotion.....

Nice review, Nick! You've really done a thorough job.

That saddle seems well designed. I'm wondering how close the rigging plates can be oriented. When you were suspended from the rigging plates, it seemed like the bridge and plates were quite far from your body. Is that due to your preferred adjustment?

Also, when your bridge is pulled to one side (if the left or right side of your body is leading on a limb walk), are the rigging plates still easily accessible for lanyard attachment?

You can bring them a lot tighter by tightening up the adjuster from the dee ring to the rigging plate. I had it sortof long and it bothered me. I brought it in a couple inches and it stopped bothering me. I didn't do any further testing.

I have since shortened the bridge considerably and I prefer that and it cleans it up for me up front.

I won't lie- if I'm leaned sideways and hunched over it can be tricky to clip in to the plates- but that's not a failure in the harness- that's life. I don't think you can design or adjust your way out of that prob.

Nice... What about the buckles and ring being under MBS 23kn to make it ANSI compliant? Should I care, am I wrong, or would that only effect comp. gear inspections and post injury lawsuits?

Treeweaver- my wife gave it a swing. She'll kill me if I give her dimensions online! But I think you're good to go.

Boreality- we are now verging away from my expertise- but I know that the components of the harness don't each have to meet that 23kn mark. Someone can maybe hop in and give more details, but many ANSI approved harnesses have components rated <5,000 pounds.

There is NO current ANSI standard for work positioning harnesses. The mfgrs. are building to the obsolete standard. It went obsolete years ago and a new one has been in the writing for a long time.

great review, Nick.

looking forward to this harness. i've been trying to decide between the TM and the Sequoia for my next. But this just went to the top o the list.

when you don't know what to do, sometimes the answer is nothing. with technology, something new will often come out in the meantime.

would be nice if you could buy it with the rope bridge/rigging plates instead of the webbing bridge. It's about the extra clip-in points, mostly. Being able to adjust the bridge would be cool, too. that would be all new to me.

I'm pretty sure you WILL be able to buy it that way.

Nick,
Have you used at all with a chainsaw hanging from it? If so does it hold well?
I last climbed in a NT 8 years ago but I remember that harness had a tendency to slide around your body when hanging at tight angles and would need to be straightened to the center often. Does that still happen?
Thanks
