Got it, but I was asking about the sprocket, are they gauge specific?I've known guys who will run .050 chain and then switch to .058 when the bar begins to wear. Not sure how much performance is impacted.
You can't run .050 chain on a .058 bar. It'll throw the chain constantly.
No, just pitch. Although there are 7 pin and 8 pin sprockets in each pitch (and 9 pin in .404 I believe).Got it, but I was asking about the sprocket, are they gauge specific?
I think you have it backwards, 8 drive links per is faster than 7. We should stop the derail of someone’s sales post. No, just pitch. Although there are 7 pin and 8 pin sprockets in each pitch (and 9 pin in .404 I believe).
The pin effects the performance. 7 pin should be more torque and 8 pin would produce higher chain speed. Unless I have that backwards
Is the 24" light husky .058 gauge? Is so, how much with shipping?I have Light 20" and 28" Stihl and Light 24" Husqy.
Gauge does not matter on the sprocket. It will handle any of the gauges.I think you have it backwards, 8 drive links per is faster than 7. We should stop the derail of someone’s sales post.
It'd be around $115 shipped to anywhere in the US. Yes, it is .058.Is the 24" light husky .058 gauge? Is so, how much with shipping?
I just use stihl bars and adapters on my 372 and 395. Stihl make best bars on planet for daily grind. Light bars do not hold up well in the concrete wood I am cutting. Generate too much heat, cause caked sap problems creating drag and shitty running chains.I know! Want to keep it .050 so I can run all the same stuff.
Not sure, I buy everywhere, and try to have items on hand long before I'd need them. Nope.@chipper1 where’d you get them? Wanna kick one down to me?
Talking about all this made me remember I have a crap ton of 24x.063, but no bars because most everything I have is 050. Happen to have anything>Nothing that size in Husqy mount. I usually run Stihl bars with adapters for anything longer than 24" on my Husqy's.
All the bars that I'm selling are .063 Stihl and .058 Husqy.
I have Light 20" and 28" Stihl and Light 24" Husqy.
How do driver link counts match up between Husky and Stihl?I know! Want to keep it .050 so I can run all the same stuff.
Depends on the length of the bar, some are similar, some are not.How do driver link counts match up between Husky and Stihl?
I'll have a look Brett. I have a 25" ES Light coming soon 84DL. What's the DL count on those chains you have?D

24 husky and stihl 24 are both 84dl, but some of the larger bars are different.
Usually if you run an adapter and Stihl 3/8" bar, you'd have to add a link for a Husky due to bar stud spacing. How do driver link counts match up between Husky and Stihl?

The extra link works well for ES Light bars. I prefer the modded bar method to avoid odd ball chain lengths when possible. I wrote an Instructable about it a couple of years ago. This has been my experience with my 395 and stihl 91 drive link 28”
Makes it kinda a pain. If I recall right a 92dl chain can work on a stihl saw until it’s pretty worn in.
24x.063x84dl would work fine.I'll have a look Brett. I have a 25" ES Light coming soon 84DL. What's the DL count on those chains you have?
