New on the Buzz

New here on tree Buzz my trainer talked me into making an account, been doing tree work for a little over a year, been climbing for about 7 months. Always wanting to learn and get better.
Welcome and you'll be thanking your trainer in no time.
I learned almost everything from this and other forums.
Starting to make a career doing this work on my own.
This is the most friendly and helpful Tree forum I found.
Just avoid contact with rico, evo, swingdude, JeffGu, and a few other characters and you'll be fine. ;) :ROFLMAO:

Ahhhh...a newbie! Nice to see you. There are so many generous people here who share what they know. Others share in their own unique way, and we like that too.

The archives go back 20 years. Somethings are just as valid today as then and others have been invented and reconfigured. Take some time to thumb through the Archives too.

...and if you're interested in the historical aspects of climbing trees, @Tom Dunlap can help explain the value of opposable thumbs AND opposable toes while escaping predators like dire wolves, sabertoothed lions, and pissed off mastadons. He has firsthand experience. You just have to catch him right after he's had his morning coffee, as he nods off pretty easy, these days.
