Sometimes but not always.
Most of the resistance to SRT is coming from the 'young guard' but lets not attach ageist themes here.
Climbing is like flying, our ascents have to equal our descents. Age ain't in it.
Look at how fast the Blake's Hitch was accepted. It spread like wildfire. The Unicender has been around for seven years. I brought it to the Z133 meeting a few months after I got my first one from Morgan. enough 'old guard' got to see it.
