New HitchHikerXF

Richard obviously put a lot of dev time into the XF, it's easily the most refined of the lot. Super smooth, everything is nice rounded edges, and I love the curved swing arm. It's one spicy meatball. I can't see much more room for evolution, but that's what they all say isn't it?

Another advantage to the hitch based HHxf, it doesn't get all "bent out of shape" when it gets close and personal to the tree.

Thank you so much. I want to quadruple like this post. What a drastic weight reduction for the last 2 versions.

Nice hitchhiker collection! I only have one more to get (HHXF). It is going to have to wait though, I spent my gear allowance on a Bulldog Bone recently. Richard's sale announcement was one day too late!
I’d say a bulldog bone is a nice consolation prize though;)

That was a great post, Muggs!
I wonder why there is such a large discrepancy in our HH2 weights.

You sure those are Petzl Oxan carabiners? Looks like the one that came with my HH2, which I think was a steel CT Pillar.

Haha, could easily be my kitchen scale...

I've heard that a US $20 bill weighs a gram, so I tested it with some old US fiat I have from years back...

Doesn't mean that it scales up accurately. Also tried it with this AllGear throwball 10oz which checked out

Still hard to trust these little scales though......

I love the HH2. The expo sale just pushed me over the edge to buy the HHXF. I opted for the one without the captive eye swing arm because I frequently do a pony tail redirect or flagpole redirect. need a way to attach the device to a slip knot once its off my bridge. Carabiner is smoother than a slick pin but we'll see how she does. Looking forward to the lighter weight and not having to deal with the HH2 carabiner going kinda sideways once in a while. might move the hh2 over to be my lanyard adjuster as it can be used in a single line configuration.

I have not tried the captive eye swing arm....I got the basic version but I'll say that I think the captive eye swing arm is the way to go
