new gear on the way

Josh, watched your video good job... One point to remember is when useing a chain saw weighing over 15 lbs in a tree it is to have it's own (separate line) point of attachment .per ANSI standard. steve

thanks for the tips! ill make sure that when i use a large saw in the trees ill use a second rope for it :) its a long way off before i own my own big saws. my uncle owns most of the tools and saws i use. :P he used to be a professional faller and still has yet to teach me what he knows. now hes a fulltime landscaper and raking in the big bucks on million dollar accounts and condo's. im working on having him teach me some more falling knowledge this year. i honestly suck lol.

Okay, not to throw a turd in the punch bowl or anything, but that looks like almost an exact copycat of my cougar.. all the way down to the ISC leg buckles.. and to call it a buckingham Puma (or Viking i guess) - come on! And only time will tell if it will come out with recalls. So the bridge was recalled on the Cougar - i slapped on a 14inch piece of my brand new velocity and have been using that for a year now. I just can't get over all the bad rap the cougar gets. Yeah it's hot, but when it's 100 degrees outside with 85% humidity - even if i'm not climbing in it - i lose 5 to 8 lbs everyday (through sweating). Josh - this isn't bashing you in anyway - it just wound up on your post because after watching the video it's obvious how similar these saddles are. But i'm sure the "PUMA" will get great reviews because it's not a "Cougar" ... wait, isn't a Puma another name for a Cougar???

but the difference is. this saddle is a part of thier glide series saddles. they gave me a glide series saddles instructions book and the glide was around before the cougar. the viking is just a better quality updated version of the cougar.
