New biner

I found this at the Canadian Arborist, I don't remember seeing this biner anywhere else.

I have been trying to locate these new biners. In canada, I found a dealer, they are trying to fill my order of a dozen or so different DMM wales ova-locks.
I have been told they are not normally ordered so the turn around time can be as much as 6 months.
They sure are well made and they are double auto locking using a cylinder type gate- no buttons

These companies are both close to my home, well not too far anyway. I sell only ISC Karabs (British slang for your Biners!) We think ISC make the best pulleys, Karabs etc, so we stick with them. We've visited the factory and met Denny it's a brilliant set up.They have just brought out the Double Rescue Hauler and Double Pulley, should be a picture on Proclimber website shortly, see the news page. They have a built in cam, gets rid of the need for multiple pullys, rope cams or prussiks. They are rated at 45kn we are testing them at the moment, cost is £36 and £70 GBP.

I remember Tom mentioning the "quad-lock" on some new ISC
carabiners. I haven't found any more information about
them. Is there someone who has ?

Four way locking Karabiner! how safe do you need to be???
We all like new ideas to make climbing safer, but there is a limit, it sometimes becomes more of a hazard, triple lock is adequate as far as I'm concerned, but that's just my opinion! (Probobly not worth a toss anyway? My opinion, not the Karabiner!!)
ISC now make all their Karabs in four way locking that adds 50 British pence to the price on each one. Your choice?

The Quad Lock action is indistinguishable from a normal auto-lock. The only way that you can see all four actions is to open the biner with two hands and study the action. In normal use, you would never know the difference.

Denny and his team are brilliant!

Future cams. It was interesting seeing the raw, aluminum pieces in 16' lengths. Besides the cam extrusions, there were bundles of aluminum rod stock in a clover leaf cross section that will become biners. I got to see the processes for making the shells of the handled ascenders. Too cool!

The swivel biner from the Canadian Arborist is.

In regards to Kevins post RE: no longer available.
Just from checking the pic. closely it appears that the biner is a screwgate model.
Today from peninsulaSafety.com I called and ordered 2 Indicator Alum. Swivel Eye Locksafe biners. The name is "sidewinder" part# A9872. They have shipped them next day air.
They said no problem it is in stock. However they do not know if this is being discontinued but they order them all the time from Wales.

Here's the reply ...
Dear Kevin,

This is correct as we could not find a supplier who could produce the round eye to our strength requirements. As Im sure Peninsula Safety have mentioned to you - the sidewinder series with a modified eye is still available,

Best Regards,
