This new DMM biner looks very interesting. I love new ideas!

GearExpress has lots of wire gate biners listed. I guess they are popular with rock climbers.
The built in roller looks cool. Could be just the ticket for light rigging- just a loop runner, biner and light rope for rigging down limbs with low friction.

Tom has listed their website many times, but it is more of a corporate website. Does anyone have a website where these can actually be purchased online? You know- someplace that actually has prices and a 'click here to buy it' button?

That's what the biner is designed for in rock climbing. I consider redi's part of my support system so they should have locking biners. I think that two of them could be used together if the gates were opposed. That might only work for a single rope like in the M system that Mark developed.

Re: The M system

I have found Marks M system to be very usefull and easy to do. I use it for difficult decents ( harder to get back than to get out) and for work posistioning while cabling.Very handy trick with minimal amout of gear.

all right fellas, here's the scoop on the new biner.
As a dealer for DMM carabiners, I called today and found this out.
The name for the nb is the 'Revolver' and is not in production at this time. It should be available this fall (no date was specified), the load rating will be about 28kN, and will only be available in the wire gate model as shown in Mark's pic. The suggested retail will be $18.95. If any one is interested in ordering some, I will sell them for $17.00.
For other DMM biners, visit my website at www.okarboristsupply.com. If you want a biner not shown, let me know.
Hope this helps.
