Doing this saw for Baja Mike, wanted to post a few pics of what I do. I am not in any way trying to step on any toes. Pics for information purposes only. Lots of guys asking me questions, here you go.

Be sure to file on the Right hand side of key with key on bottom when looking at face of flywheel. The goal here is to create spark faster in the rotation . flywheel is set back on crankshaft and rotated Counter clockwise against your cut key and tightened. I cut about 1/3 from the key

Hey I have (2) 150's top handle that I did the side hole in muffler. They run great. I bought a rear handle 150 last fall and just did the muffler like you did. Will it benefit at all with having the main hole enlarged and a side hole drilled or no?

Just enlarging the output hole should be fine and it wont be as loud.

Tuning those carbs can be a little tricky as the 150s have a wicked rev limiter. Always start at original setting or richer
The best way is to do repeated test cuts while slowly making adjustments to H screw in between cuts.
Most likely you will feel when saw has optimal power, this is where you want to be
It seems to me that when tuned properly, you can hear the saw bouncing off the rev limiter when cutting 4 to 5 inch wood.
Hope this helps

I know it's an old thread but I'm looking to advance the timing on my MS150t and was hoping I could get some clearer before and after pictures of the key so I know what I should be grinding off if that is at all possible please?
