Most underrated gear

My vote would be for my Rock Exotica 'bieners. Their gates are so intuitive for me a 3 action lock feels like one smooth motion. I love the options they give me in my work positioning system, all of my gates open into the palm of my hand, if the hardware is hanging from something as opposed to leading it I use a petzl or similar 'biener. Keeps all of the actions working in the most opritune direction. I hope I explained that in a way that was understandable.
Also I like switching gates up on my ground guys and watching them fiddle around with both hands, trying to figure out this rocket science that is a triple action gate.

Go the ORCA if ya want an opposite gate and stay RE. When I first started climbing I was struggling with opening a dmm all the time, swapped it with a RE and have never looked back.

I vote no ORCA for life support. If pushed open by a stick, the locking barrel will want to stay open./ unlocked, not spring back closed/locked.

If you really want some, I have two basically new ones available.

I LOVE MY ORKAS! They are so smooth. When I let the gate spring shut, it automatically goes to the locked position. I have to manually set mine to the push open position. I use that option for when I've temporary attach something for quick easy removal. I always check the gate before using during PPE.
Easy to see at a glance. RE does make the best biners!

I have no use for an RE biner. Plenty of petzl and dmm ones already around here...
This might not be the right place, but have you guys tried the notch biners yet? The springs are SUPER STIFF. I think I like them, although not for things that I open a lot.

I prefer stainless steel wire rope rigging thimbles in place of ali rigging rings.
large speed link/maillon rapide is better choice than a shackle, safer and no parts to drop
opposite and opposed steel or ali biners are great for light rigging.

Any pics?

Please wood be nice :)
Thimbles of all kinds out there @KevinS
Light, heavy, tubular etc
Plus they are less than 25% the price of Xrings and more durable. Cheap as chips

Throw line. In addition to setting lines, we've used it as a tag line to pull decent size tops over, to snag dead wood that would be difficult to reach, chain saw pull cord, tending loop for rope wrench, mini lowering line, clothes line, fishing line, bow string, shoe laces, set antennas, gear loops on a harness, I've even used a loop of it to create an additional anchor point in our car for a baby car seat. Feel free to add to the list of uses. I'm curious what other uses you have discovered.

Lock stitching and borderline indestructible trotlines.
