As u can see in the picture, almost entire canopy of both trees r covered with old grown Boston ivy. The one I’m standing on is a dead mulberry. Very hard wood, that’s why I feel comfortable to climb. The bigger, live one Is a silver maple. My job today is to remove the mulberry tree over the neighbor’s garage. I tried to bid high, now I knew it’s not high enough. When it’s time to bid on the silver maple removal I’d bid at least 2x of a normal removal. Absolutely disgusted! Been there, done that only not as involved as your job. Spent 10 hours peeling that stuff off a red oak that was the feature tree in the front yard. Definitely did not charge enough. When you bid the silver maple better go 3X.

I had a dead Sweetgum job that was covered in English ivy and the ivy was grafted all the way around the trunk. Made it very difficult to get a good purchase with my spikes. The ivy was blooming and covered in bees, wasps and hover flies. Not fun.
