More heavy riggin,

Thats Funny. A couple of days ago I had a training crew out (2 new guys plus myself) our last job was a 16" DED Elm in a forest setting about 70' tall. Sales rep said it was real easy. It was easy but had to be rigged to about 15'. While rigging the wood down they short roped me on every cut. Then they would let'em run a stop then just before they hit the new deck! I was not amused! I was not really mad at the men it was the sales rep I was mad at. Sending me out on a full rig with NO other expierienced climber DUMB!

When ever possiable, I would rather tip tie and lift as much of the heavy wood as possiable.

I'm at home and the last picture I had to scroll just a little. (Still Learning). I had a top notch crew that day, no worries. They were always one step ahead. Over the course of two days there was very little verbal communication. Much fun.

9:33 at night and here we are surfin forums and STILL WORKING its a wonder any of us are still married. Cheers Tod you were my boss for a couple days in Pitts this year.

I had a riot, and yes there was a river of skill flowing about in Pitts. I'm trying to coerce a few peers from up here to join us in Nashville next year. I know for a fact that one will bite. A young guy I used to work with who is HUNGRY for tree work. A real keener.

Mark, Speaking of volunteers- I was a cub scout, weblow and boy scout. Don't you think a percentage of those guys would be good climbers if given the chance to experience the tree world?
Jeff ( most all my knots taught by the scouts) Go Devils!

Think I finally got it. This is my first time rigging without having to saw a false crotch.
Like my 1/2" sling? Norm gave me some suggestions already.
Will a 3/4" sling rig a 2 ton CMI block meant for a 5/8"?

One time a fellow IL climber told me that doing well in a competition kind of makes you feel like a rock star.
Doing tree work "the right way" in a po-dunk town does even more so.
Only a couple of tree workers here. They are old with bucket trucks, and only know how to top, and hopefully not reading this.
I'm glad I never got married. I just can't keep these girls off me!!! /forum/images/graemlins/bud.gif

I know this doesn't belong here, but posting pictures is so fun, and i don't have any more.
This was a practice try. Anybody else mess around in this field?
I find woodcarving can be very soothing. /forum/images/graemlins/ven.gif /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That's a helluva love seat there!

(it looks like someone with some heavy equipment was messing around in that field, too)
