I've had mine in both my dump bodies pretty frequently with ramps or sometimes even finding an embankment that will work. Even had it in the pickup once. That being said I use a 6x10 dump trailer and it's a great little mini hauler. Can fit the dingo with bmg and rake and bucket easily or bmg and 38 special grinder ( bit of a squeeze). Also have the dump trailer handy for running a load of wood or debris off the job site.
For what you guys are doing that may be a good option. It allows you some flexibility in moving more wood off a job or having some redundancy.
If it was only for a mini I would go for a single axle tilt so you can load/unload quickly.
