I bought a 1.5 qt version of your microwave popper for $8.88. (grocery store)
For my 1st batch, as you suggested, I added 2 Tblspn of butter to the top.
It did NOT work as well as hoped.
Most of the energy went into melting, and then cooking the butter; NOT popping the corn.
Lots of kernels left after 5 min.; and some were burnt .................... Trash.
To be fair, my corn was a little on the old side. Fresher corn would pop easier.
I might try:
1. Fresh corn
2. Pop ~ 1/2 of batch
3. Very quickly add butter
4. Finish popping
P.S. My hot air popper popped this same batch of corn just fine.
I just popped 1/4 c of kernels; 2 T melted butter; popcorn salt; 2 T finely grated Parmesan.
