Methods of traverse

Tree to tree, using handled ascender SRT. I haven't climbed SRT yet just seemed easy to traverse that way. Mostly looking for best ways to set line. BTW I'm using Icicle hitch with 3/8 tenex.

I got a friend who thoght it is o.k. to descend on a beaner with a wrap- dumb move sometimes. A lot of attention is needed when you wrap inside a beaner.
Jeff, ( did I spell biner wrong?)

I've tried it and thought that it worked pretty good for me. I still think that types of VT's work better for me than anything else- yet. I still try everything I can. And, as we all know, all hitches tend to react differently when the cord is changed and /or the host rope.

I don't have 'much' of a problem on my VT version of friction hitch and I do have jaming teight on on the lanyard often. Same hitch, I'm trying to figure that out.

I did a move from one leader to another today using some of what has been discussed here. I had no fast way to get to where I needed to be so I threw my climbing line end with a loop at the end over to the intended TIP. And then used long pole to retrieve end. Was able to move to where I had to be with little struggle.

Thanks,
Jack
