Nice looking saddle. The low D's for a second lanyard attachment point are a major advancement and one I wish was on my Butterfly 1.

whats stopping you creating an attachment point at the same place where the bridge is dan? after all thats all the tree motion is doing

This looks like the first ever
harness that has been designed by working arborists/treeclimbers.

Climbers weight distribution/dissipation looks good.

I didn't think it would look that chunky, it looks more robust than I imagined it would be......unlike all those rockclimbing style tree harnesses(BF2, Petzl vario, Tree Austria etc).

Have to see it in real life though.

Will definately try this harness.

The side d ring looks a bit odd, the way it is chaffing that webbing which is attached to the silver loop.

Maybe its just the angle.

The front attachment area makes so much sense, it was about time someone came up with this solution for secondary/third
attachment.

I take it you get more than 1 front D ring with the harness?

My bridge attaches to two small metal rings and there is already a delta in them plus the bridge. This doesn't leave enough room for a biner. I've tried using the deltas for a lanyard attachment but they are a little too low for my likeing.

When I ordered mine at the expo, they told me that they where gonna ship it to me Jan. 5th. They haven't called to change it so I guess everything is still good. Don't know what the demand for it is, so I don't know if you order the saddle later that you will recieve it at the same time.

Both versions of the BF were designed by climbing arbos. There are other harnesses previous to the BF that were also designed by arbos along with the manufacturers.

Fresco/Bashlin's Saddle X was arbo designed too.

I wonder if thats a stronger version of the Petzl Caritool on the Treemotion? I tried one on my harness and liked it but it won't really hold a bigger saw than a 200T

I had a chance to spend some time in the treeMotion in a large tulip poplar and experimented with different combinations of the attachment points.

The lower D's distribute the weight between the back and legs. If you attach your lanyard to the lower D's then there is less strain on the lower back.

I also tried having my line on the lower D's while the line was around the trunk of the tree. when the attachment on the tree was at my level (at my waist) then the load was on my waist and legs. As I moved (rapelled) down the trunk, the load was gradually shifted to my legs/lower back. Thus while working a spar, the climber could have the lanyard on the lower D's and the climbing line on the bridge; or, have the lanyard on the upper D's and the climbing line on the lower D's.

I also tried climbing and swinging with the climbing line on the lower D's. This felt similar to sitting on a swing--very comfortable and even.

Very comfortable and lots of adjustment.

everything is going well with mine thus far except for the inability to purchase a replacement bridge and their is no fixed attachment point for a croll, im more interested in the treeflex, if anyones got one and wants to trade for a bit give me a shout, i had the pleasure of poking around one at the fresco booth and it looks very comfortable, i just dont have the money to buy another expensive saddle.
