All I can say is, it's about time.

Sorry Rich, I suggest you take Mark out for sushi the night before the Masters and get him to eat too much. It's a lame suggestion but I can't come up with anything else.

I have never seen the 'ISA' Geezers competition and do not know how you all do the scoring maths.

The Belgian Veterans competition scoring has got a (secret) build in age (re)calculator.
40 1.00
41 1.03
42 1.06
43 1.09
44 1.12
And so on.
Total points of a competitor are multiplied by the number behind the age. So, having the same scoring before the age calculator leaves the jong climber way behind the old one. And to top it all off, The longer you climb during the competition the higher will your scoring be.

So, by the Belgian standards Mark would never win the comp.

Any chance you would have a competitors shirt from your Veterens Comp laying around that you would donate as a prize for our Geezers comp. That would be awesome. If so I am sure we would reciprocate. And ours are awesome. And tiedyed.
 
Yes we would,
And we go in 5 year age brackets with each bracket able to take the first place points so in the masters we have had a 40 and I believe one year a 50 year old climber.

This year so far I think we are up to a 62 or 64 year old.

Sorry boys, I have to think about that. I kind of (very) proud wear it all of the time that it's not in the washing machine.
If you both have studied the photo's you probably have noticed that this competition is merely an excuse to get together and dig up memories and drink the world famous Belgian beer one whole weekend. Every time I put on that shirt there's a smile sprouting on my face.

I'm not saying no to the offer yet but I have yet to make a mind shift to say farewell to my shirt.

Well I say keep that one and send a company shirt or local arb store shirt, I know it would be hard for me to give up a Fall climb shirt from Ez house also.
Especially because he's moving and wont know when the next one will be.

It would be great to see Mark at the geezers comp, if he's 40 then that would be awesome and Rich I look forward to competing with you again, heck I'll be 45 at competition time,and I look forward to being there hanging out with the fellas!!
