Mark C. on P. Allen Smith Show!

I walked by the t.v. yesterday and heard a familiar voice. It was Mark Chisholm! He was on the P. Allen Smith show. Who better to represent our industry? They showed him: footlocking, climbing, pruning, etc. Looked & spoke very professionaly!

You sneaky fellow Mike!

I didn't know that it was airing yet. Go figure. Thanks for the positive review though- it means a lot!

any way to view it online? Would like to see the footlocking and such. thanks
By the way read the online part. Very good. Def informative for the average homeowner. I expecially like this part

"I never work in a tree without having Personal Protective Equipment, what we in the business call PPE"

Great job on describing the basics of safe pruning.

"topping cut"? uhhh, could that phrase be restated to avoid confusion?

I only read the little clip, which started out with "what should we do for these trees" and moved quickly to "how do we cut parts off these trees", with a very brief mention of other tree care concepts. What we need is more high-dollar PHC equipment, so P. Allen could have a paying sponsor, so p. Allen would be willing to feature other tree care work.

HIs bit on Large Tree Planting has major errors and ANSI violations.

Caliper--distance around (circumference). Yup, the research team is on the ball.

Burlap and baskets are biodegradable, so it is just dandy to leave them on there if they don't touch the trunk.

"Rootball" to grade, no mention of flare.

"Saucer" on, not outside of, rootball. Gotta maximize that dominant landscape feature, The Lawn.

No matter though; information does not need to be accurate as long as the hair is neatly coiffed and the ladies are adoring and the marketing machine is rolling.

Had not reviewed yet.

But that sentence was sarcasm - yes? 1/2 that sentence at least?

You have to explain those early on in a discussion like that so that when you refer to it only as PPE later, people understand. You know.

[/ QUOTE ]You got it Mario, the first half was their "fact", the 2nd half my sarcasm.

I LOVE that realistic looking plastic burlap. It sure seems like a natural fiber, until you dig it out of the ground 10 years later and it is still mostly in tact.

love
