very busy, when you going to bring your harness up to the new shop? web page loads of work still to do, going to start running short courses, but not training myself, as i built a new classroom as well, still got to sort the online shop out, but i think people like to talk about what they want so they get the correct item. going to Belgium next weekend to sort out next years ETCC, it just never stops!!

Thats how we used to call Craig on the comp circuit a long time ago! Nothing offensive - just like Craig.

Which is just as well being a giant

.

If you need any rigging courses run, just let me know Craig. We could come up and run an ergonomics course also?

Has anyone tried the Triangle Redirect? It is basically the "M" redirect, but without the biner or pulley. If there is not any branching in between, wouldn't this make more sence to save length on rope? Or does the triangle redirect not feel stable enough?

Yes Tom it is. I understand that. Let's try this once again.

Tried that. No its not as stable. Too much inward force applied to the TIP and Redirect points.

The "M" keeps the forces downwards in the more usual manner.

That is what i found. i much prefer a 2nd line; even a rig line; and a muenter/ muled for stops. Calculating that as long as most weight and life dependance is on real life line and 2nd line gives better direction or stability i'm 'legal'. Dual use is having lifeline that will pull you out of trouble/ away from load if necessary; and rig line over load; helps also bring you to load. This line can also be ground operated IMLHO; as long as you are serious about maintaining full life dependace on legal line and use rig to bring you to load. Will use a rigging krab sling to give more stable or comfy positioning too; but will always know that it can be questioned; and maintain serious attitude of lifeline support on lifeline proper.

yse it would save on rope but you couldnt retreive your eye if you wanted to drop the re-d but keep your original tie in, which the "m" will allow

Hey Laz, What's an ergonomics course? Whiz

Hello Whiz.

It involves learning life long skills from Davina on a 4:1 basis, on how to identify your physical strengths and weaknesses with regard to treework, and how to correct them and prevent others.

I teach how to climb more efficiently with bio-mechanical awareness on a 4:1 basis. Dealing with Ascent techniques, work positioning and chainsaw use.

Also power point show with the coolest muscular/skeletal graphics you're ever likely to see, animated from MRI scans.

I also prefer a second line Spyder. It is a more secure way of working.

Its worth bearing in mind with the 'M' technique, that if the anchor point fails (usually used out along branches so entirely possible ), you could fall a very long way and suffer a huge fall force on a doubled low stretch line.

Very very not good

I don't teach it for this reason.

We'd love to Mangoes - wherever!

Only my insurance won't touch USA or Canada. Davina's does. I'm sure we could work something out.

Currently working on a similar tour for Europe. I need a couple more hands to juggle a few more balls at the moment!

Had agreat day working in November sunshine in a quiet back garden today - small dismantles and pruning for a change!
