Lyme disease info.

I believe the “climbing arborist” did a podcast about his diagnosis with Lymes. Pretty brutal stuff, a few close relatives of mine have it…. and a family dog’s life was cut short from it too.

All true, but be aware that "regular" infectious disease specialists take umbrage at the thought of being considered *not* lyme literate. Don't burn bridges ahead of you.
Indeed, Lyme has changed my life more than several flavors of cancer and chronic pancreatitus. No, I'm no expert except in my own story. For me, it got bad enough that the "regular" infectious experts took serious notice and threw a net over me with a formal Lyme diagnosis...after some years of denying that that was the problem.
Life is full and rich, to be sure, but Lyme has changed my personal, internal landscape.

Thanks.
A distant family member may be getting a Lyme diagnosis. She's early 60s, now using a walker.

About all i know, atm.
CDC has recently approved a clinical diagnosis for Lyme.
The longer you have it the harder it is to get rid of, or impossible. I recommend looking up some info from Canada.
For lab tests, I highly recommend IGENX but it’s a out of pocket test ~1500$. Many common co infections need to be tested for as well. So don’t skimp.
Armin lab in Germany is also very good, much cheaper, but kinda PITA due to the need for user input and overseas shipping.
I’ll send you my contact (you should already have it).

I don’t know the science behind it, but I’ve heard the tick/Lyme problems will/are worsening with climate change…..
Forest changes probably have more to do with it than climate. For example, many invasive species change the moisture patterns in the understory of the forest. Over-populations of deer are certainly also a major contributor.

One example;

I found this book in 2009, "Healing Lyme" by Stephen Harold Buhner. The same basic protocol he laid out then remains largely the same.
I have worked with variations on that herbal protocol since then. There are many different aspects to take into account depending on how the symptoms are manifesting.
Best wishes for health ~

Lyme has wreaked havoc on a good number of people in my area. It’s been around a while here. Unfortunately, as KTS said, not enough doctors knew enough about it and how it can manifest, so it went deep into some people before recognized. It can get into your marrow. It can alter your psyche. It is not to be cast aside.

There is also a local woman who kept a horse that was infected. The vet told her to put the horse down. She refused and began a long term regimen of antibiotics. The horse is now right as rain. This is one of those things where following proper treatment is clutch if you ever hope to recover.

My family and I are always outdoors. Regular tick checks are key. Every day. Everyone stay healthy out there!
