Looking to check out Tree work in Amsterdam March 17-27.

Hi,

I'm a tree climber in Portland, Oregon, and not to brag or anything, but I'll be in Amsterdam, Netherlands March 17-27 visiting some friends. I'm curious to see how the Dutch do tree work. I'm down to just shadow some worksites and meet some fellow tree geeks, but if a little paid work should happen I'd love to help out! Any dutch arborists in the house?

Holler!

Amsterdam is awesome. Was there to play soccer many moons ago. You'll have a blast.

Dont fall in a canal. Under any circumstances. I can't stress this enough.

Dude smelled like the Black Death mixed with old boots soaked in old Cheez Whiz.

I'm there every month, sometimes several times per month. Going tomorrow for the weekend. Been eyeing some parks to climb in but not sure how receptive they will be. Just when you think anything goes, they will come down hard on you when you least expect it.

Yeah, thanks, I've been to Amsterdam about 60 times over the past decade, and I've got my favorites, but I don't think I could ever make it to every bar or shop in that city in a lifetime. Vondlepark is nice but would never consider climbing there...too busy. Same with Oosterpark. I stay on the north end of town near Noordepark and that looks a little more promising. But yes, I would like to get farther out to climb so that's why I was asking here. When the days are a little longer, I'm going to hit up the TreeStuff cache to the east of the city.
