Looking for the perfect lanyard setup

I cut the pinky rest off the Sugoi handsaw it got hooked on everything. Lanyard and handsaw on opposite sides here too.

I use a set-up just like Blinky's but I always use a micro-pully and a #1 boatsnap becuase on those rare occasions when I use a power pruner in the air...when I'm done with it I can lower it -as Tom Dunlap says- off the hip. Besides I like the racket it makes. lol Whiz

Yes, for two reasons. One is that I think the Butterfly bridge is sketchy. My first one fell apart with less than 20 hours of climbing on it. It was still intact, but the shrink wrap rubber thingies that hold the cover came off, and it was no longer smooth. The ring would get hung up, etc, it sucked.

Second reason is when I want to shorten it, I have the Tachyon piece that I can undo and shorten. The second ring is for second TIP's.

Twin sons of different mothers?

My old setup. For now, I'm using a single bridge with two Vectran elements sheathed with an old kernmantle jacket.

I put a small pinching clip on the dog clip that is on the side of my master dlx. My safety buck strap what ever is like 15 ft long with a gibs. I put the pincher clip in the middle of the slack and when I need extra rope I ether un-clip it or move ti back.
If that makes scene

Do you have a picture of that setup!?

As you can see on the picture (the first post in this thread), I have a little bit of elastic around the "spare part" of the lanyard, and attached it to a small biner. It works really well and is fast to adjust, but it tends to catch sprouts and a lot of other things, so I am looking for a way to refine the system.
I think the daisy-chain system takes to much time to adjust.

I always have my chainsaw on the right, and handsay and lanyard on the left, so I can't seperate handsaw and lanyard.
Have tried the leg straps, but the saw kept falling out - and I couldn't footlock with the d@mned thing stripped to my leg.

How do you do that??

You never listened to Dan Fogelberg and Tim Weisberg did you?

I've got Twin Sons on Vinyl....along with a couple of thousand others. Sad to say that Fogelberg passed away fairly recently.

lanyard on the left with a xt/knut and my hand saw is on the right. I use a really small biner that's on the thigh strap of my butteryfly webbing that connects to the buckle. This is nice spot for my handsaw. Its always at my hands reach and I never have to feel back towards my hip. I also like a snap instead of a biner for my end attachment point of the lanyard.

6' of 3 strand with a steel snap at each end. hip prusik for a 2 in 1 and a pulley for one handed operation, switching from 2 in 1 to the pulley is not that bad. just started hanging my saw from the left, everything was on the right. It's going to take some time to be comfortable with it. Not the most up to date setup, but it will have to do until I get the funds.
