Looking for Foot ascender on climbing spurs.

The Haas connection will go on the opposing spur. You can face it forwards or backwards. If your Haas/Saka does not have a built in footloop, but rather uses a carabiner that hooks into a seperate footloop, you can clip in and use the connection point in a rope walking system with your spurs. If you do this, just make sure to use some sort of gaff protection because it can feel a little clumbsy, but does works well

I also purchased one of these recently since I'm running kleins and the price was too good to pass up. I'm a little concerned on the fit though. Is this normal? 20181231_071658.webp

The plate for the ascender is flat while the shank is curved. I haven't fully tightened it yet, and I think if I do it will bend the aluminum plate to match the profile of the spurs. Go ahead and crank it down, or is something not quite right?
